What is Factory Reset good for?
- As a virtual machine administrator with full access, you might encounter situations where you inadvertently misconfigure your VPS or install software that alters VPS networking, such as VPNs or virtualization tools. These actions can lead to a loss of connectivity and block access to your VPS.
- You may also need to delete all your data and simply start from fresh.
What Factory Reset does to Your VPS?
The Factory Reset will wipe your current VPS, including all data and settings, while keeping your subscription plan intact. Once completed, a fresh VPS with default settings will be assigned.
How to perform a VPS Factory Reset?
If you agree that all of your data and setting will be deleted, follow these steps:
- Log in to your AppOnFly portal and navigate to Settings.
- Click Factory Reset.
- Confirm Factory Reset.
- Wait for the Factory Reset process to be finished. It may take up to 5 minutes.
As soon as the process is finished, you may connect to your VPS and start from fresh.
