Follow these steps to check for and install updates on your AppOnFly Windows Server 2025 VPS:
Open the File Explorer: Click on the yellow folder icon in the taskbar to open File Explorer.
Go to This PC and open the Local Disk (C:)
Locate and open the AppOnFly Config folder.
Locate and open the Manage Windows Update Services folder.
- Right-click the file named "EnableAndStopWindowsUpdateServices".
In the context menu, click on Run with PowerShell.
Access the Search Bar: In the search bar located next to the Start icon on your taskbar, type "Check for Updates".
Open Windows Update Settings: From the search results, click on "Check for updates" or "Windows Update settings". This will open the Settings application directly to the Windows Update section.
Check for Updates: In the Windows Update window, you will see a button labeled "Check for updates". Click this button to scan for any available new updates for your operating system.
- Download and Install: If updates are found, they will be listed. You will then see an option to "Download & install" them. Click this button to begin the download and installation process.
- Restart (if required): Some updates require a restart of your VPS to complete the installation. If prompted, save any ongoing work and click "Restart now" or schedule a restart for a more convenient time.
